How do I get there? Will there be road closures?


From Northwest of Tampa (North East Tampa, Carrollwood, Northdale, etc.):

Take I-275 South to I-4 East
Turn off at Exit 1
Make a right onto 21st Street
Make a right onto Palm Avenue
Make a left onto 15th Street
For valet parking, make a left on 9th Avenue
For the parking garage, continue down 15th Street past 7th Ave. Parking garage entrance is on the left, just past the railroad tracks.

From Northeast of Tampa (Temple Terrace, USF, New Tampa, etc.):

Take I-75 South to I-4 West
Turn off at Exit 1
Make a right onto 21st Street
Make a right onto Palm Avenue
Make a left onto 15th Street
For valet parking, make a left on 9th Avenue
For the parking garage, continue down 15th Street past 7th Ave. Parking garage entrance is on the left, just past the railroad tracks.

From South of Tampa (South Tampa, St. Pete, Clearwater):

Take I-275 North to I-4 East
Turn off at Exit 1

Take I-4 West
Turn off at Exit 1
Make a left onto 21st Street
Make a right onto Palm Avenue
Make a left onto 15th Street
For valet parking, make a left on 9th Avenue
For the parking garage, continue down 15th Street past 7th Ave. Parking garage entrance is on the left, just past the railroad tracks.


Nuccio Parkway and 7th Avenue, through 21st Street will close at 3pm. 7th Avenue at 21st Street through 34th Street will close at 6:30pm.

What time should we plan to get there?

It is recommended to be in your viewing spot by 6pm. But you’re welcome to come earlier and enjoy all that Ybor City has to offer, including many restaurants. Please visit the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce for more information on things to do while you’re here. www.ybor.org/



Where are the best places to watch the parade?

Anywhere along 7th Avenue, between Nuccio Parkway and 22nd Avenue.



Where does the parade start and end?

The parade starts at Nuccio Parkway, ending at 22nd Avenue.



Can I ride my bike?

Sure.



Will the trolleys be running?

Yes, the trolleys will be running with temporary closure beginning at 6:30, until the parade ends. www.tecolinestreetcar.org/about/maps/index.htm



Is there shuttle service?

The best shuttle service is parking in the Channelside garage and taking the trolley into Ybor City.



Where do I park? How much does it cost?

There are two main parking garages: 2010 N. 13th Street (corner of 13th and Palm), and 1500 E. 5th Avenue (corner of 5th and 15th). There are also private lots throughout Ybor City that range in price from $5 to $20.



Can I bring a cooler?

Yes, but no alcohol is allowed.



Will there be alcohol for sale?

Yes, inside the restaurants and bars, but not on the street.



Will there be food for sale?

The restaurants throughout Ybor City will be open for business, serving all types of delicious food. There will also be vendors selling food along the parade route.



Are there ATMs?

Yes, there is one at the SunTrust Bank at the corner of 7th and 17th Avenue.



How do I dress?

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Because it’s February, it will probably be cool once the sun goes down.



What if it rains?

The parade will continue in rain, but if it puts participants or spectators in danger, the parade will end.



Can we bring chairs?

Yes.



Do I need a ticket?

No, the parade is free and open to the public -- with the exception of the grandstands (reserved seating), and can be purchased here.



What’s in the parade? What can we expect to see?

Illuminated floats, costumed participants, marching bands, dignitaries. Spectators can catch beads and other goodies the participants are throwing out.

Throughout the Parade Route on 7th Avenue



Is it suitable for children?

Yes, we encourage families to bring their kids.



How long does the parade last?

Approximately two hours. It starts at 7pm and should conclude by 9pm.



Will there be any other entertainment going on?

Some of the local restaurants and bars will have entertainment at the conclusion on the parade.
